"Beginning in May the Neue Galerie,
whose collection of paintings and drawings by Gustav Klimt is
considered by many to be the best in the country, will honor the 150th
anniversary of his birth with an exhibition of his work. On view will be
greatest hits from the collection, like the gold-flecked 1907 portrait
of Adele Bloch-Bauer that the museum’s co-founder Ronald S. Lauder
bought for $135 million in 2006. The show will also feature paintings
and drawings from Mr. Lauder’s personal collection and that of his
family."

- Wilhelm Klimt was born in Vienna, Austria a relative of Gustav Klimt. Wilhelm majored in business and art at NYU. With the art background of both Wilhelm and Maurine Klimt they have represented artists for over 25 years. While on a trip to Europe "we were shocked by the inferior Asian reproductions of Gustav Klimt's work and with the family background, decided to make this our own." Maurine Klimt comes from the worlds of Ballet and Fashion and is second generation in art, with training at the University of Utah.
